Hi Ladies,
I hope everyone enjoyed the Winter Break! You may wonder how housecleaning and the Fashion Show are related. Well that's the purpose of this e-mail.
With the holidays over and the New Year beginning, it's about this time that we may start to re-organize the rooms and space in our homes. Like they say "out with the old in with the new". If you are cleaning out your house, and you are looking at that gift, thinking "What am I going to do with this?", We will take it.
We will gladly accept any NEW and UNOPENED items that you are looking to re-gift. In the past we have assembled beautiful baskets from your items that are no longer needed. Not to sound ungrateful, but we all receive things at one time or another and think -"What were they thinking when they bought me this?" We will take it!
When you are re-organizing your children's closets and rooms, think of us! If they received a toy, a DVD, a game, clothes, anything that you are not returning - We will take it!
When your husband buys you something- like the newest gadget 'as seen on TV' We will take it! How do you think I got rid of my "Bloomin Onion Maker"?
If you're out shopping and see a great item on sale, please think of Mount. We will take it!
In January we will be sending out a letter requesting donations for the Grade Level baskets that we put together from each grade. Some of the items we are requesting will be-
- Arts & Crafts supplies ( craft kits, Klutz items, crayons, art supplies)
- Toys, Games ( Board Games, playing cards, puzzles etc...)
- Pool and Beach fun (towels, pails, shovels, water games, sunscreen)
- Ice Cream Sundae items (sprinkles, sundae cups, syrups, gift cards etc...)
- Sports fun( balls, yard games, sports equipment etc...)
- Movie night- (Gift card to movies, popcorn maker, popcorn, DVD's, movie size candy)
These are just a few ideas for items that can be easily picked up for you to donate to the Mount Fashion Show. Also, if you are out dining at your favorite restaurant, please ask if they will donate a gift certificate to raffle off at our Fashion Show.
Once again, we thank you for your support and participation. Without people like you we would not have a great school like Mount! Wishing you and your family a Happy, Healthy New Year!
We look forward to 'getting ready to hustle' and solicit those businesses for our Disco Fever Fashion Show 2010. Look for the next meeting flyer coming home in your child's backpack in the New Year. All information will also be posted to the Mount PTA website.
